Shāna Blake: "Rise Up" (Video)
A video clip from "ICE Out for GOOD" on January 11, 2026
On Sunday, January 11, 2026, thousands of Charlotte residents and neighbors gathered in First Ward Park uptown for the “ICE Out for Good” protest rally and march, sponsored by multiple non-profits and volunteer organizations from around our area. After an energetic welcome by emcee Marcelle Vielot, Shāna Blake started the event with her rousing song, “Rise Up.” Here’s the 5.5 minute video of her brief remarks and inspiring song.
You can watch the full recording of the event livestream on YouTube.

This song gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. This was a great performance!!
